Tips
1. Stop smoking because it decreases blood flow, robbing you of nutrients and oxygen which are important for beautiful, healthy skin. Collagen and elastin keep your skin firm and stretchy but smoking damages them, causing wrinkles.
2. Drink water to keep your skin hydrated. Alcoholic beverages and drinks that contain caffeine cause dehydration so you should avoid them. If you have naturally dry skin, make sure you wear sunscreen, even during winter, because cold air is drying to the skin. Avoid taking hot baths or showers because hot water can also dry out your skin.
3. Use natural soaps and supplements. Natural soaps should contain a base of vegetable oil. Primrose oil, vitamins A and E, and omega-3 fatty acids are ideal anti-aging supplements for your skin and can work topically in the place of lotions. You can also apply zinc to assist in healing damaged skin.
4. Avoid stressors because your skin becomes more prone to acne and other issues. To manage your stress levels, don't over-schedule your life and be sure to take out time to do the things you enjoy. Adding exercise and a good night's sleep to the mix enables you to handle stressful situations better.
5. Balance your diet to include whole grains, fruits, lean proteins and vegetables. A diet filled with vitamin C, but low in carbohydrates and fats, is thought to promote younger-looking skin.
